GM/Lakewood Redevelopment Plan

Lord, Aeck & Sargent is providing the master planning, architectural concept and zoning services for the redevelopment of the old General Motors Lakewood Plant site in the Chosewood Park neighborhood of Atlanta.The 40-acre site, currently zoned for industrial use, is seeking one of the City's Quality of Life Districts designations which emphasize a mixed-use with strong urban design characteristics like building placement and an enhanced pedestrian experience.

The plan includes a mix of residential units ranging from apartments located along the major corridors to large town homes located internally, along with a small retail component to be located at the major intersection in the neighborhood. Central to the plan is the creation of a park which reintroduces greenspace to the community.
