Brawley Street Duplexes

Working closely with the Spartanburg Housing Authority, our design team prepared a master redevelopment and housing plan for a strategic block in a historic intown neighborhood. The master plan on Brawley Street allows for 14 total units with four different unit types.
Services included lot resubdivision, designing compatible duplex housing to a market-rate standard, fair housing act compliance, urban streetscaping and flexibility for conversion to homeownership over time.
Partnering with Bizot Architects, the team prepared complete construction documents and bid sets. Construction is being phased over time and the first six units were completed in 2014.
