Morehouse School of Medicine

Medical Education Renovation

Atlanta, GA

The Medical Education Building Renovation and Expansion sets forth a grand vision for the future of Morehouse School of Medicine.

This project links the existing Hugh Gloster Academic Building with the existing Medical Education Building near the center of the Westview Campus of Morehouse School of Medicine. The project will accommodate instructional labs, including a Gross Anatomy lab for 96 students, flexible teaching spaces and individual spaces for the graduate students.

The project will be phased to allow for the continuation of ongoing classes with minimal downtime. The project also includes a major renovation of the existing Library to include a 30 person e-lab, flexible group study spaces for various group sizes along with comfortable study spaces for the students and faculty fitted with wireless access to the school intellectual database. In addition, there will be primary care simulation labs for physician training activities.
