Multiple Phases of Student Housing

Dahlonega, GA

Lord Aeck Sargent has designed a multi-building, multi-phased privatized project for the University of North Georgia. The student housing projects includes:

Patriot Hall - Cadet Housing: The 352-bed suite-style residence hall has public space, classrooms and areas to house portions of the Military Department Leadership.

North Georgia Suites - Civilian Housing: The 604-bed residence hall on west campus comprises two residential wings arranged around courtyards joined by a two-story common connector lobby.

Patriot Hall II  - Cadet Housing & New Military Plaza: A sister building to the first phase of cadet housing is a new 264-bed residence hall. Amenities and recreational spaces for the cadets are located at the center of each floor above the lobby. In conjunction with the housing projects, a new plaza for gathering and community space will be created between Patriot Hall I, Patriot Hall II and Gaillard Hall.

Gaillard Hall Renovation: This historic residence hall, originally designed in two phases by Aeck Associates, LAS's predecessor firm, in the 1950s is being fully renovated and modernized with all new systems, new amenities, such as kitchens and dayrooms, and redesigned double occupancy rooms with semi-private baths to provide 166 beds. The original character of the building and the signature spaces will be fully restored.
